with 10th grade Modern World History Classes
These two files show different aspects of how I teach the French Revolution. One piece is a layered curriculum model where the students choose their "meal" and thrive on products they are happy to create.
The second piece is the key to a game known as the "fly swatter", where students receive the answer key after taking turns swatting at the board with vocabulary words to review for the exam.
This is a sample assignment from the Imperialism unit. Students use the content to create a newsletter, allowing the creative application of the content and use of technology.
This is a model of a formative assessment that students build on throughout the unit.
This is a sample assessment that allows the students to take on a new role and pretend to prepare a sample lesson for their own students!
This is an activity where the students design their own website. Creating a website is an important skill in preparation for entering the work force!
